"Why join the crowd when you can standout alone by being different?"

~Bernard Mersier~

Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, in my younger years I wanted to become a doctor, but after winning my first writing contest in elementary, I decided on becoming a writer. Expressing what’s in your heart and in your mind is a wonderful way of reaching others with your work. Majority of my writings come from experience, and my work that’s fiction comes from people I know, or what I see and read about. Aside from writing being a talent I was born with, I do it for my children to show them whatever you set out to do, it can get accomplished if you stay focused with determination. At the end of the day, I can’t speak for everybody. But in my case, growing up in Detroit, Michigan builds character, good, bad or a mixture of both. You grow and learn to live with the choices you make in order to become the character you truly are.

I also have a poetry book I published on amazon titled "The beginning and end of Bernard Mersier."

Chasing death

Gentle cold words warm my soul, chasing your clammy bones.

Death, you don’t know how much I love you, wishing you would love me.

You gave me a world of orgasms I could handle,

Every emotion expressed as I’m manhandled.

Death, you don’t know how much I love you, wishing you would love me.

You tease me with your allure.

Eyes closed, heart froze, death, you almost took my soul.

You move in and out of my life, silent as my shadow.

My heart leapt when you cuddled me under your cloak,

Naively, I thought it was love, not seeing it was a joke.

Death, you don’t know how much I love you.

But now, I’m about to make you appreciate why you should’ve loved me,

Moving on to a greener pasture,

Realizing you only wanted my emotions resting in the hereafter.

Death, my dear, death…

Life could have been better if you accepted “Us” instead of “Self.”

Sunset

The wind whispers an orchestra in my ear arousing the hairs on my neck,

Succumbing to the sinful symphony,

Cemented open eyelids and sweat,

Obsessed with the night becoming my blanket for rest,

As the stars caress my face, and my erection is laid to rest,

I’ll never miss a day watching you get undressed,

My beautiful Sunset.

H.E.A.D

As she stands with her mouth closed…

Suddenly, sleaze oozes from her tongue onto her lips.

She’ll pierce your eardrums when she’s loud,

Appearance resembling a rabid dog,

Unimaginable how long this can go on,

No breather,

Gag reflex strong,

If you took this provocative, you’re wrong,

This is the foundation of when a woman is done.

The title is eye-catching, going both ways,

Her energy always drains.
